Sarahdactyl (and other Houston girls) -- I got to attend mass at St. Anne's this weekend and it was so beautiful!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine was exhausting and I'm very happy to be home with my dogs.

nothing really exciting going on here... I'm just really happy that the heat wave ended and we got to turn our a/c off and open our windows last night! (yay for 80 degrees instead of 100!)

Happy Monday! It's actually our anniversary (yay!). H is at a training this this morning, but he gets the afternoon off to hang out and celebrate. I think we're going to dinner at our favorite Mexican place (which also catered our reception).

Also, a Happy Birthday shout out to OOT!! Have a great, happy, blessed day and year!

Our weekend was good, but busy. Saturday, H was in a good friend's wedding, which ended up being an all-day affair. Pictures before 10a Mass, reception until like 3 and a happy hour/after party in the evening. It was fun -- we got to see lots of friends (and make some new ones), but I was glad for a quiet Sunday -- nothing but going to Mass (where we ran into the newlyweds!).

Happy Monday!  It was extremely tough to get back into the work/weekday schedule, since I've been off since last Tuesday night.  I wish this coffee would kick in a little faster...

I had a pretty fun weekend visiting FI's family, it's always fun seeing my soon-to-be nieces and nephew.  The weather wasn't nice enough to go tubing or waterskiing, but I still managed to get some tanning in and a nap on the boat.  We were originally planning to head home on Saturday, but we ended up sticking around another day and going to a family get-together for FI's mom's side of the family.  It was pretty overwhelming to meet them all, since I hadn't met anyone from that side before, but I'm glad we went.  It was nice to meet some of them before the wedding, and I got to meet FI's grandma who likely won't be able to make the trip down for our wedding.

It's 24 days til the wedding, and it still feels really far.  I'm hoping I can remain this un-stressed.  I'm super nervous, but not stressed, you know?  Also, it looks like FI might be getting a job!!  He's been really stressed about that situation, so I'm really happy for him.  Woohoo!

Professor, St. Anne's is so beautiful in all the pictures I've seen. I've never been but a friend was married there and I did have a tiny bit of church-envy. (They were one of the more strict parishes I noticed when I wasn't sure where we would get married.)  

Resa, that is great about your FI getting a job!

FI and I were supposed to take pictures on campus yesterday but the photographer called and asked if we'd mind rescheduling, because it was supposed to be 100 even at our evening time. Boo. I really wanted us to have some "engraduagement" pictures (oh, my goodness, that's the first time I've typed that out, it is really dumb.) at our school since it's where we met and I don't think we'll be back for a while. Hopefully the weather will comply. It's supposed to cool down this week, but also, rain.

In any event, tomorrow is the last class for bar review and then after that it will just be studying and reviewing for two weeks... I can't believe how quickly this summer has gone by. I am really looking forward to spending time with my parents, and starting the wedding planning in August!
