Hi everyone,
I'm fairly new to the area where I will be getting married and don't know any of the priests around here very well, but I need to find a presider for my wedding (it's not until June 2013, so no rush, but the church here would like to know). I'm also not so close with any priest from my past parishes that I would ask one of them to travel this far. The parish where we are getting married is an odd one in that there are dozens of priests associated with it who could concievably preside over a wedding.
On the bright side, the couple who ran my pre-Cana program suggested someone who they think would get along well with my fiance and myself, but I'm trying to write an email to him and have no idea where to start. Everything I write sounds completely awkward, because in the back of my mind, this feels like the wedding presider equivalent of a blind date. Any suggestions for writing a friendly, non-awkward email in this situation?
