Update on my health situation

I have lupus. Cry

My tests confirmed it without a doubt. I have an appt next month  to start seeing a rheumatologist to begin treatment. While I'm upset, I'm not surprised. It explains my myriad of health problems, and extreme fatigue that I've been dealing with lately.

Thanks so much for all of your prayers last week, I really appreciate them. I feel so discouraged. Due to my age, endometriosis and other female issues, it would be a miracle if we are able to conceive children. Then if I do get pregnant, my pregnancy will be considered high risk and will be closely monitored. 50% of lupus pregnancies end in a premature birth. I can't win I tell ya.

    Aww, you poor girl. I will keep you in my prayers.

    At least they figured out what you had. Several years ago, they thought my Mom had lupus. After numerous tests, the figured out she has Raynaud's Syndrome. But it is also an auto-immune disorder, just like Lupus. I hope that you find a good rheumatologist and they are able to get things under control for you.

    Aw, sweetie, I'm so sorry. I'm sure it seems impossible now, but don't give up hope. If - and I say, IF, because we just never know what God has planned for us - your vocation is not parenthood, God probably has something else absolutely amazing that you've been put on this earth to do. Big, big, big hugs and we'll keep praying for you!!!

    Be very very kind to yourself...do something that puts a smile on your face...

    I have an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow morning. I'm praying I don't have any damage to my spleen, but it's entirely possible due to all the pain I've been having in that area, plus my anemia/bleeding issues.
