My husband(!) and I are truly very blessed. We had a beautiful Nuptial Mass almost two weeks ago. I don’t know if you all remember, but we had issues getting our families and a priest on board. Two nights before we were slated to get married the deployed Priest gets back from TDY and he is more than willing to perform the ceremony. He told my husband there is absolutely no reason why two Catholics shouldn’t have a full mass and he performed the ceremony for free. He is truly amazing. I wish we could attend mass on the AF base to see him more often. Our non-Catholic parents performed the readings and didn’t complain too much. Even my VERY anti-Catholic aunt said that she couldn’t find anything “unbiblical” about the ceremony which is the highest compliment coming from her. I think it was a first step in our families accepting our choices. They all found the ceremony very spiritual and beautiful. Below are some pictures.
