    meh

    8 inches maybe

I haven't been out yet because my crutches slip too easily.in the snow.  A bit later when the sidewalks are cleared.

M has a  snow day too.  How fun!  Home with two sick babies.  the SS got a good hit overnight

ugh we got 5 inches and expecting another 1-2 today. But my school still won't cancel. We haven't cancelled yet this year. We're on a two-hour delay, teachers have to be there at 9 (school won't start until 10:30... I'm a classroom assistant... what am I supposed to do for 1.5 hours?!). Even all that wouldn't be so bad, except that we're a private school and almost all the districts feeding into us have school cancelled, which means there buses won't run, which means the kids won't come, which means like 2 or 3 kids from my classroom will be there. So annoying!!

I didn't have work today anyway. I will spend the day digging out and cleaning up the apartment after DH trashed it in a whirlwind between business trips. Ugh. It's probably better I'm not around people today anyway, because I'm a horrible emotional mess. I'm being a drama queen about my cycles when I don't actually know what's wrong and if its easily fixable.

Attempting to bake bread. This recipe has been perfect every time I've made it. Now I have a kitchenaid mixer and so I figured, yay, I'll knead it in there! First batch, complete fail. And the mixer smelled like the motor was burning so I had to stop and hand-knead anyway. Working on attempt #2. And hoping my mixer is ok. Ugh.
And I'm doing laundry. I HATE doing laundry, but better to get it done now than in the evening when school would have gotten over, right?

FI made bread last weekend with his mixer (so grateful he's the baker - I'm SO not)...he went through three batches before he got one sorta right.  Takes practice...esp with a new appliance.  I made a roast (same weekend) that I've made 100 times before, but it turned out like shoe leather in my new crock pot.

Luck with the laundry!  (I feel your pain.)

I'm about an hour north of the city and we got somewhere around 12-14 inches. There's so much snow, I have nowhere to put the new stuff when shoveling out!

Yeah, I am home today, too. The road are fine except for a few slick spots where it re-froze last night. I teach in a part day program, so if the county school district issues a 2 hr delay (like they did today) we are closed. Sucks bc I don't get paid for it. I don't think I am going to have a full check until February bc I am off all next week since we are going home to Ohio to see our family and friends for the holidays.

I'd hate to see if we got 18 inches in here GA, even though that would never happen. I bet the entire state would shut down for weeks.

Our plowing network in the TC metro area here is too darn efficient :)  We've gotten about 5 feet total of snow this winter since early November.  I think most schools have only gotten one snow day this winter, though, when we got about 8 inches early on a Monday morning and the plows couldn't keep up enough for buses to get through...
