My fiancé isfrom Chile and lots of his family lives down there. It is traditional to have a civil ceremony (recognised by the state) and a religious one for the Catholic Church. I was raised In Chrisitan and Jewish traditions and my fiancé isn't really religious. We are goingto Chile after we get married and having a celebration for all the family down there.
The question is, should we also have a more religious ceremony down there, as up here my aunt ( a judge) is officiating our wedding?
