My FH and I went to Engaged Encounter this past weekend which is one of the marriage prep options and we would suggest it to EVERYONE you are away for the weekend it is basically a retreat AHHHHHH I know you hear catholic retreat you think thfat God will be cramed down your throat but no it wasnt like that at all you just have a lot of alone time with your FH and it is an amazing thing to do

    Glad you had such a great time!! :) FI and I just couldn't make it work with our schedules but I look forward to doing retreats in the future. I always enjoyed them when I was younger - I always returned feeling so energized and happy :)

    That is great to hear you got a lot out of it. H and I were also required to do it and we also felt it benefited us greatly. We have since done ME and it has done even more for us :)

    Glad to hear!  We're doing a traditional Pre-cana, but also signed up for an engaged encounter so we could get the retreat experience.
