Hey ladies,
I got to thinking about a question: If you were not planning a Catholic wedding (or if you're already married, back when you were planning), is there anything crazy you would've done?
I thought about this only because I was thinking about how I find elopements terribly romantic sometimes.
Any of us that had or are going to have Catholic weddings agree that it's worth it. Personally, I'm so excited to get married in the church and receive the sacrament; it's the highlight of the wedding. And I also appreciate all of the tradition that comes with a catholic wedding, and the requirements for marriage prep, sacred music, etc.
At the same time, there are some other things that appeal to me. I suppose you could have a sorta elopement in the catholic church, just the couple, the priest, and a witness. But you still have to go through marriage prep and stuff. You can't just "run away" and get married on the beach or something.
Also, there's a secular song I always wanted to walk down the aisle to. I was a little bummed to have to let go of that.
Is there anything you would've wanted or still want? A song? A location? etc.
