Interfaith Ceremony?

Can someone explain an interfaith ceremony to me?

If i am Catholic and my finance is not .....can we do an interfaith ceremony in a Roman Catholic Church?

We already booked a church and he is planning on doing Pre Cana classes but i am wondering if that is necessary if an Interfaith ceremony can be performed.

Thank you.Laughing

What do you have in mind for an interfaith ceremony?  It should be possible to bring in an officiant of your faith to take part in the Catholic ceremony.  However, that doesn't mean that you can customize the ceremony however you want.  And you would still have to do Pre-Cana.  I suggest talking to the priest at the church to better understand your options.

He must still comply with all the requirements of the church, including pre-cana, EE, FOCCUS test, etc.

Just let your priest know that your FI is not Catholic. He doesn't have to convert, he just has to agree to a few things if you are getting married in the Church.

catholicweddinghelp.com is a good site to check out as well
