We chose our music!

We met with our music coordinator and singer last night to choose the music for the ceremony. We chose beautiful music for the the processional, presentation of gifts, communion, etc. but we still have the option of playing a secular song during the prelude that will also be sung. This can be any secular song (of course, appropriate for church), and I'm stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what some good songs are? I'm hoping for a little more recent, modern songs. Thanks!

    As much as I like show tunes (and I have that one on my iPod) are the lyrics to that one really acceptable for church?    "My wildest dreamings could not foresee lying beside you with you wanting me," "I'll wake up my body and make up for lost time," etc.  Or even just the general message of "as long as you're mine," with an emphasis on a fleeting moment rather than the lasting sacrament of marriage.

    My vote on that particular song is a no.

    I don't know if you like Josh Groban but "When you say you love me" is a good one

    Gulf, you are right. I was listening to it at work and didn’t really listen to the lyrics at that time. When I re-listened I was going to edit the post, but you beat me to it.

    Thanks for all the suggestion! I was also thinking Lost in this Moment, I love it! It was a contender for our first dance song but we liked another song better. Maybe this is where we could have it.
