Catholic Weddings

program

Can I buy my program anywhere or does it need to be brought through the church?  I know it needs to be pre-approved by the church.  I am having a Catholic ceremony.  TIA

My priest gave us an approved template to follow for a full Mass. Maybe check with your priest and see if he has something similar?

Most people just make their own, and then email it to the priest before printing them out for approval.  My priest gave me several templates to get me started.

catholicweddinghelp.com has a good template for ceremony inside and outside mass.

We did programs and no one asked to see them.  I think they were pretty traditional though

The organist at my church asked to approve my programs.   I designed them on my own and emailed a copy to her to make sure all the terminology was correct.

I designed our own program. We did have to submit a copy to the church music director & wedding coordinator for approval.

We had a full mass and basically I used samples I had found online at catholicweddinghelp.com and a friends program who got married just before us who also had full mass.

In the handbook I got from my parish it said that the wedding program is not necessary because I'm not suppose to reprint anything without copyright laws?

I would have to check this though since my FI's family is not catholic.
