Just have to say Alleluia!

I am so happy right now...can't really explain it, other than I am thrilled and can't wait to marry my darlin'. We are scheduled for our re-marriage seminar in June, and also have our engagement shoot scheduled, so it just gets "realer" by the minute.

Plus, it is one of those glorious days in Missouri, filled with shadows and sunlight and the sound of birds and our waterfall...it takes your breath away, brings tears to your eyes, and just makes you thank God for all His Glory and his Goodness!!!!!

Linda - I am so glad things are working out and heading in the right direction for you and your FI.

And thanks for posting this. It has helped me get through another rough day and the past 2 weeks which have been a complete nightmare for H and I. I believe things do happen for a reason and we shall get through it together.

What was I listening to...I think it was an EWTN homily earlier this week? Anyway, the priest was talking about a little girl who wrote to the Pope after the tornados, asking why children have to be scared and go through bad things. He gave a wonderful answer - that he asked himself those same kinds of questions all the time, and struggled with the idea of suffering, but that there was one thing of which we could be sure: No matter what is happening, be it good or bad, God is right there beside us.

Hope things improve soon...thoughts and prayers and giant hugs...

I always tell myself that God won't throw anything at me that I can't handle.  It usually calms me down when things get bad and crazy!

And I'm glad all the logistics are going smoothly for you!

I think part of it is...that things are going very well for us right now. We had this gigantic fight not that long ago...over food of all things...and though we can get kind of loud we at least don't resort to name calling...but this week, a friend of mine said farewell to his beloved wife of 40 years. I know we won't get that long unless we live extraordinarily long lives, so it really gave me pause, and showed me yet again, that I cannot, cannot take this wonderful man for granted. I want him to know every day how much I love him.

And you're right, docta...my priest said very much the same thing tonight at Reconciliation, when I told him about the fight...he said to stop trying to rely on my strength and rely on God' grace instead. That's easy to do when things are going well, I just have to work on it during the hard times!

I love that this board is not just a wedding board, but a place where we all can "talk" and share our faith. That is a true gift for me...thank you!!
