Catholic Weddings

I need some advice on Invites.

Here is what I have for the wording on invites. But I feel it's not correct.

John and Jane

request the honor of
your
presence as they receive
the
Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
on
Saturday, the Thirtieth of
April
Two Thousand and Eleven
 at
Three O'clock in the Afternoon

A Catholic Church
City, State

Reception to follow at location of reception.

**** A little background if you don't know. FL an I are already married (not by the church, we are having our church wedding April 30 2011). I am in the process of becoming catholic, DH is Catholic, We are paying for the wedding ourselves*****

Thanks for your feedback!

this seems appropriate to me for a convalidation.

I am assuming we are having a mass ( the father of the church is really close to DH's Family and is so excited that i am going through RCIA and getting bapitzed on easter) He has this whole thing planned out. We haven't had any meetings with him about it yet since i am going to RCIA. But when i see him next i have a list of questions for him..

hmmm... I think since you and your husband confer the sacrament upon one another, "receive" might not be quite the right word... agapecarrie is probably the expert on this one :)  I found a good thread on the Catholic Answers forums that might be helpful, too:
