My Priest is letting me play a Beatle song!

My wedding is 19 days away......Yay!!

I am having a traditional Catholic wedding and am playing all the *classic* wedding music.   BUT.......my bridal processional is going to be 'Something" by the Beatles!!   The pianist plays it beautifully!!   I am SO  happy the church is allowing me to play it!

    That is great. Your priest must be very laid back and liberal in his policies. We were not even allowed to have the Wedding March at our wedding due to its secular nature. Our priest wouldn't allow it.

    What a great song !

    Fortunately, M & E had no problem with their choice of music.  It was a combination of religious and secular music.  They did use the wedding march, Ave Maria, The Wedding Song, Hail Mary, Gentle Mother (for the seatings) Irish Wedding Song, etc.

    Our priest never even asked us our music selections.  I walked into a John Lennon song.
