Finally Friday!

I like all the idea!  I lurk on here a lot, but don't really post too much.

I think Friday should just be a chitchatty day.

My  weekend plans involve seeing H....

H is FINALLLLLYY getting off the boat. So I am going down there for an extended vaca...until he leaves again for a long  time... The flights home got denied by the Big Navy, so they have to drive from the port they pull into to where they are stationed (10 hr drive), which is pretty stinky. But  nothing can ruin this weekend because I get to see H! eeeek. =D

Amanda, that's AWESOME!  I know it's been hard on you, not getting to see your H hardly at all since the wedding (isn't that right?  Didn't he leave just after the wedding?).  I hope you have a perfect weekend in every way!

BTW, just got back from my bridal lunch. The ladies each gave me a box of k-cups to go with the keurig they got me for my shower! So sweet! Now I have to stop by BBB to get the k-cup drawer I registered for but can't wait to get. I'm going to have to break an etiquette rule (gasp) and use this gift befire the wedding... I'm having some OOT guests stay at my place and I currently have no other coffee machines.!

Cait, that's awesome!  Sounds like you have some good friends   You must be SO EXCITED that your wedding is so close

Resa - Yes, He left the day after the wedding.... sorta stinks, but...what are the alternatives? have him go to jail? Ha... no.

Agreed.  I get the feeling that the ladies on this board would be able to discuss serious/unpopular things without it spiraling down into a name-calling/insulting match, so I'm all up for a serious topic here and there!

LOVE the daily thread check-in idea! I admit that I'm one of those who at times can't check in often during the day, but now that the kids are done, my life with be much less crazy for awhile, which means time to lope around on the internet and respond before dinner for all the East Coast girls.

Speaking of which...the kids are done!!! (except the few who got 60-70% and have to come to summer school). 'Round here, kids get out in mid-late May; before Memorial Day is pretty much a given. On the other hand, we start school at the beginning of August, when it is still 1 million degrees (plus Arizona's version of humidity = no fun at all).

I also get a 5-day weekend (no work 'til Thursday)! And we had our ultrasound (which went well -- all healthy and normal), so I'm psyched today!

All you ladies who get to see your hubbies after time away, I'm so happy for you! I can only imagine how hard that must be.
