One of our groomsmen is a woman. She's not comfortable wearing a dress, and she's closer to FI than she is to me. So we asked her to be. We haven't encountered any issues with it.

I don't think it would be a problem but I would suggest talking to your priest, just in case.

it shouldnt be a problem, and the priest shouldnt care since the ushers have no involvement with the ceremony.
