Thank you for the prayers

thanks to everyone who was thinking and praying for FI's grandma. The funeral was lovely and heartbreaking. There was a viewing the Friday night, and the funeral was Saturday. The burial is today but we won't be there for it.
It was a Catholic funeral (never been to one before) and in French. I was happy that I could at least follow along the order of things so I knew what parts we were at.

It was so hard standing there watching FI and his brothers and father cry. I'm so sad for them all. She was 91 years old :)
We will be putting something in our program and in the Prayers of the Faithful during the ceremony for her and those that have passed before.

My aunt is now having radiation treatment done for her cancer. She is in rough shape and she's not sure she'll be able to make it to the wedding. I've been crying randomly for the past week. She is my godmother and we wanted her to do a reading at the ceremony.
She cried when I told her I was praying and had a lot of friends praying as well. she wouldn't let go of my hand the entire time I was there. She cried when she said she keeps thinking of the one passage "The Lord said you shall be healed" (anyone know what passage that is???)

She isn't in as good a spirits as she was. She doesn't think she'll be able to make it to the wedding and she said she didn't want to do a reading which is understandable. She currently has no use of her left hand and has trouble talking.

If I could I would be up there every weekend to see her. Sadly we're 3 hours away :(

    Thats tough, I'm so sorry you have so much to deal with right now :(
    I did a quick google search, and didn't come up with that exact passage (except thinking maybe its a line from one of Christ's healings, like of a blind man or something). But I did find this, which I thought was worth sharing--
    Jeremiah 17: 14-17
     14 Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed;
       save me and I will be saved,
       for you are the one I praise.
    15 They keep saying to me,
       “Where is the word of the LORD?
       Let it now be fulfilled!”
    16 I have not run away from being your shepherd;
       you know I have not desired the day of despair.
       What passes my lips is open before you.
    17 Do not be a terror to me;
       you are my refuge in the day of disaster.

    Oh, Mcdol, I am so sorry that you are going through all of this.

    Here's the other passage to which KatieAnne was referring:

     5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” 7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” 8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.

    Thank you ladies. I am going to send that to my mom and sister so they can share it with my aunt.
    I've been calling on God a lot these past few weeks.
