so I got married months ago but I saw the previous post about tipping and it made me remember my situation. I was feeling guilty about not being able to afford to tip the caterer. Then we had 20 or so people not show up to the wedding and we did not take home leftovers. I'm assuming they were just making the food as they needed it as opposed to making everything they needed for 130 people beforehand.
I guess the question is, is that how the caterers usually do it? Surely they would have given us the leftovers if they would have had it all made, since I did pay for it. I was thinking that the money I paid for the 20 people who didn't show (about 13 dollars pp) would have covered their tip? Then I didn't feel so guilty, or I wouldn't if I knew for sure that they didn't have the extra food made in the first place.
sounds confusing but I'm not feeling very word smart today.
