Hi!

I saw in your bio that you got married at faxon-kenmar church in williamsport...it's pretty and is close to our reception venue...did you have to be a member?  My fi and I are looking for a church but are having trouble not being members anywhere.  Thanks you!

    No, we weren't members.  I'd call the office and see if your date is available. The office may want to have you speak directly with the pastor (There's a new pastor there as of July 1 but I'm blanking on the name). 

    Where did you decide for the reception?

    We went with the Holiday Inn Downtown Williamsport.  The walls and curtains actually match our color scheme and they just renovated it and it looks great.  It was the easy part...finding a church is proving to be difficult.

    The Holiday Inn is great! Good choice. 

    I won't lie: The ceremony venue was one of the hardest things I encountered through planning since neither DH or I were affiliated with a church, and there aren't a lot of secular venues in the area, and the option of an outside wedding was too much of a risk.
