Southern County Catering Review

They were really nice at first and we loved them when we had our tasting. The day before our September 2009 wedding we were told to not worry about a thing and we believed them. Our wedding was awesome but things went down hill real fast during our pictures. My brother in laws mother called us from the reception place asking when the caterer was to be there! We told her they should have been there at 2pm (it is now 5pm!)  After many phone calls back and forth to the caterer we were told they were on the way and that all the food was cook and just had to be served. That was a total LIE! We arrived at our wedding reception at the same time as the caterer did and the food was not cooked. It wasn't until 8:30pm till the food was served. Even then it wasn't all the food we had paid for and a lot of our guest had already left by then because they were hungry. My step mother and a few of her friends ended up going to a local store to buy snacks for everybody to eat. We had a meeting with them after we got back from our honeymoon and were told we would be getting a full refund asap. After a year and spending around $800 on court and lawyer fees we finally got our money back. I would NEVER use them again or want anybody to have to go through what we did. We still had a wonderful wedding but we and our guests will never forget what happened that day and we will never get to redo it. I hope this helps future brides out when deciding to use them.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but if it makes you feel any better my best friend used them on Sept 19, 2009 (which from your username i think was your date as well) and they were also a complete disaster. They forgot to bring mixers and sodas for the bar, so when the guests arrived all they could have was straight liquor or water. They served something that was suppose to be for dinner as an appetizer. They put out a huge bowl of hot crab dip without anything to eat it on (crackers, bread). The meal was served SO late and when it was served, the chicken was cold, the prime rib was tough, the veggies were raw and the potatoes were burnt. The catering trucks kept leaving to run to the store and bring back stuff they forgot. The owner apologized and said there were no excuses for it other than they completely over booked themselves for that day.  My friend  did get a huge part of their money back, but it still ruined a large part of their reception.

I will also say that my parents attended a wedding in 2008 that they catered and everyone was raving about them. My dad said the food was amazing. He couldn't believe it was the same company when they catered my bff's wedding.
