Cake Bakers

HI!

My FH and I aren't really too into cake, so it's not a big concern of ours, but we would like to have something nice for everyone else.  Can anyone recommend a nice inexpensive place?   Right now, he's thinking that getting a cake from Giant is the best (or at least - least expensive) idea.  Any help would be really appreciated!  Thanks.

We are doing a cupcake tower instead of cake. We arent really into cake either, so we thought this was a neat option. We are going with The Flour Child in Columbia, PA (she does travel to drop cakes/towers off if needed). They have been AMAZING to work with! Let me know if you would like more information :)

We are also doing a cupcake tower.  We are using Linda's Cakery, she delievers and has the towers as well.  We have sampled her stuff with my mom and it was all VERY good and the price wasn't too bad either (we are on a really small budget).  If you want any info on her please let me know :)

For an inexpensive but good alternative, I'd suggest trying Oregon Dairy. I've heard their wedding cakes are amazing.

We're using Bella Manse, though, and I have to admit, I can't wait to have more of her cake! It's to die for.

I highly recommend The Flour Child in Columbia. She can do anything you want, help you through the process and is so easy to work with. FI and I love her cakes and cupcakes. Oh and my goodness her prices are sooooo inexpensive! We found her to be the cheapest in the area. If you want her information just email me at richandlori2011@aol.com and I can give it to you!

I bought my brother's wedding cake from Achenbachs Bakery in Leola last May and only payed $250 for a 125 person cake. It was beautiful and yummy at the same time. They deliver for a small fee. I also really like Oregon Dairy cakes!

We decided to use Giant for our wedding cake and Linda's for our groom's cake. I sampled Giant the same day I sampled Linda's and I felt Giant's was just as good. (not being a big cake person either) My FI really liked the variety that Linda offered though. He picked carrot cake and loved it.

We're also having Linda make our reception cake and a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. Her pricing was affordable and she's really bending over backwards to make our cake original for us. And I HIGHLY recommend the pistachio flavored cake.
