Soooo I know I already signed off but I was so excited about this I had to share. We are making our own bouqets, corsages, bouts. We didn't order any flowers for the ceremony (our church is really pretty), or real flowers for our centerpieces. We just ordered 75 gerber daisies online from a wholesaler. Our flowers arrived today and it took a few hours to find time to unpack them.
I finally unpacked the first of three boxes and found my daisy - which were beautiful (I was worried about ordering online). But as I counted, I was confused because the count was already at what I had ordered and I still had two more boxes to open. I opened the second box and it was 75 calla lilies in white and light pink. I opened the third box and there were 75 gerber daisies and 50 white and pink roses.
By this point I was really confused - so I called the company to talk with someone and make sure my credit card hadn't been charged. They said I wasn't and showed only one box shipping to me. They asked me to look on the box for any labels and sure enough there were labels on each of the boxes to two different locations in Michigan.
Apparently the orders belonged to someone else. Well the company said by the time they got them back and re-shipped them. The orders would be trash so they said to just go ahead and keep the flowers or throw them away or whatever.
I feel bad - and hope the orders did not belong to a bride who is probably freaking out today. But the good news is I have enough flowers to put real flowers instead of fake, make a little bigger bouquets, and put flowers at the ceremony. I was so excited!
