Harrisburg Area Photographer Recs

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking for any recommendations on good wedding photographers in the Harrisburg area.  We have looked into Klose Photography, but the main team isn't available for our wedding date.  The associate team is available, but that makes me a bit nervous.  They are $800 less, but I'm not sure if their quality will be as good as Klose herself.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    i highly recommend captured by kate  (www.capturebykatephoto.net)

    she is fabulous, well priced, and she takes a lot of inspiration from cyndi.

    I actually thought I had looked into and contacted captured by kate, but they were out of Charleston, SC and the packages started at $3,000 (too much for our budget).  I am now realizing there is another captured by kate that is local!! Thanks for the info!!

    We used Conte Photography out of Mechanicsburg and loved them.  They have a lot of different packages and prices available

    yes. make sure you use .net and not .com! i did that before too.

    like i said just let me know if you want to look at more of her work. she does have a blog that she updates regularly with most shoots.

    I'd say No to Conte!  You never know the quality of photographer you're going to get since he employs multiple "photographers".  We used Mary Steinbacher and she was WONDERFUL!!

    Is Mary Steinbacher out of California?  That's the only photographer that comes up with that name when I google it.  If you could send me a link to her webpage when you get a chance that would be great!!

    We just booked Solas in Wormleysburg, we met with them and looked at there work and it's amazing! You can't hate the price either; they have a $500 and $800 package. The $800 includes 8 hours and engagement pics.  I got the recommendation from this board and everyone that uses them loves them!  Good luck!

    Solas had a hold on my date for another bride, but I found out today that she decided not to utilize them!  I was very happy because from looking at their work online they look great!  They penciled me in and I'm sending in my contract this week.  I feel like I lucked out because every other photographer I contacted was already booked for my October 9th date!  I'm very excited about the reasonable price too!  It's good to hear reinforcement on the quality of this photographer team, especially since I can't meet with them until I'm home in PA for Christmas because I live in Wilmington, NC. Thanks to everyone for all of your help and recommendations!!

    I'm so glad everything worked out with Solas.  We just got our engagement pictures with them today, and they are fantastic!  Heidi is so nice, and you can't go wrong with her.  I can't wait to see our pictures, but all of theirs online look awesome!  You'll love working with them!
