I am from a fairly small community; however, my family has huge ties to the community. My dad has health issue and has specifically requested that we have the wedding/ reception in my hometown. My fiancée feels that this location has no specific tie to US as a couple. He wants to debate this issue endlessly. Also, my parents have offered to pay for a large chunk of the wedding; however, the budget they mentioned will go much farther in my small town as opposed to a larger town several hours from our family and close friends. How can I bring him to my side?
