House update!

So we closed yesterday and we're almost 100% moved in!!

The closing took a bit longer because a priest who was late to a funeral hit one of the sellers. Scary.

I spent 12 hours cleaning the house. It was disgusting- the sellers are hairy people (like Italian, kind of) so there were a lot of black hair in the shower, drawers, sink, floor. I was so grossed out. One drawer was full of black stubbles. I gagged while I cleaned it up.

We slept there last night. It still doesn't feel like "home" you know? It still feels like a strange, new place. I didn't sleep well. On the other hand, my commute is much shorter! I arrived work 30 minutes early! Now I know I can sleep a bit more every morning

We don't have internet nor cable at our new place yet. Hopefully sometime within the next week!!

Yay! Congrats! That is definitely scary about the priest hitting one of the sellers but at least no one was badly hurt?

And ew - I feel your pain, somewhat. Fiance is Italian and I clean up hair every day so that it doesn't get gross (TMI). It's much more disgusting though when they aren't your fiance

Ugh, I HATE hair! Poor you having to clean that all up! Yuck!

Glad you're mostly moved in though, and that closing went well! I'm sure it'll start to feel like home the more you personalize it and the longer you're there!

Welcome to my world!!  My FI is a wolfman so I have to deal with it forever hahahaha

It'll feel like home once you're all settled and have been there for a little while.  I hate that time it takes getting used to it, though... it's really hard.  I get homesick pretty easily so I'm not looking forward to moving.

Congrats on finally closing   Too bad you couldn't just hire a cleaning crew to come in and deal with the hair for you!!!  It will feel like home once you start to hang pictures on the wall and really make the house yours.  Post some pics along your way!!

The seller is okay. She looked really angry though. Poor lady.

I don't mind hair as long as it's from my FI or me, but other people's hair? No thanks. Haha!!!

I'm extremely sore today and I don't think I can really sign well today. I had a hard time signing to a co-worker. I'm trying to think of what to do for my students today!!

Whoever said moving was easy is crazy.

Congrats!!!!  FINALLY!!!  So happy you are finally in!   I love putting together new spaces or rearranging things!!
