Honeymoon Registry

Anyone know how the honeymoon registries work?  I am a little confused...Can these honeymoons be booked through any website or does it have to be one of the special websites?

Thanks everyone!!

We were thinking about doing one but decided not to.  We are not sure when we are taking our HM.  This can explain it better than I can:

I would just make sure you check out how much their service fee is sometimes it is 9% of what is given to you.  Some places even charge a setup fee the highest I have seen was $150 so make sure you check out the site completely.    I use to have a page that compared all the sites to together with the pros and cons of each site but I can't find it any where.  If I do I will post it for you.  HTH

so, I looked up like 3 different ones. Honeyfund, honeyluna and honeymoonwishes.  THEN I found out my TA offers their own honeymoon registries and they don't charge thos 3-5% fees.  I am using VIP Vacations..my TA, Jennifer has been great.  We are going to Sandals in St. Lucia and I have a registry set up through them.

Thanks!  I spoke with Alyssa at Liberty Travel and she said the same thing.  That most TA have their own registries set up.  I think we will go with that.
