I am going to get married at Mexico in Guadalajara in a zone that is called Talquepaque which is like a small traditional town for artisanal culture. It is very traditional, rich in culture and relaxed. Nonetheless, not that exagerated, so it´s perfect balance. The ceremony is going to take place around 5.30 pm and will last all night long, we want to walk from the church (which is two blocks apart) to the reception/party venue. I was wondering if it´s correct to establish an etiquette for short dresses and allow my bridesmaids to go on long dresses(they take it as more important)? I want it to be a more relaxed than usual wedding like the whimsical more european relaxed yet chic and elegant in careful details. The groom says it´s awkward to have short and long dresses but I think its common where I live (a smaller city than the capital) I wanna find out if this is out of protocol and how can I manage? Any ideas?
