Meeting with the Florist

So - I soloed the meeting with the florist - since FI is out of town.

She didn't ask me my budget - she just starting throwing out all sorts of awesome ideas for the bouquet..and came up with something totally funky with big daisies that I LOVE.

Then she started suggesting that I buy corsages for the moms, and flowers for the dads. I was starting to sweat...but I agreed to her ideas.

My bouquet is going to be funky and beautiful at the same time - with blues, greens, and daisies..and the moms and dads and groom will be rockin' daisies as well..

She goes to "calculate my price" and I am FREAKIN out because I agreed to way more than I had gone in for. I was just going for a bouquet..

Bam...75.72 cents...total.

Woot! She said I picked out cheaper flowers..so it was a cheaper price!

WOO HOO!! I was sweating bullets every time I got a flower quote from different florists. Flowers are so expensive, but she did you awesome job I think with you! Congrats!!

Yep - but we don't have ceremony or reception flowers. And our main flower is the daisy (which is the first flowers Ricardo ever sent to me <3)

This includes
Bridal bouquet (40 dollars)
2 boutonnieres for the dads
1 Groom boutonniere
2 Corsages for the moms

and I'm going to call and tack on corsages for the grandmas too - I was just too afraid to do that when I didn't know what I was getting into!

They are a very reputable florist here locally - and have been in business forever..so I'm totally comfortable. She did a mock up of the bouquet and it looked awesome.

wow thats a friggin steal! We were quoted almost 600 for JUST bouquets and corsages! I then decided I could do it myself cheaper by buying bulk through sams club. For all my arrangements on tables, bouquets, corsages etc. I can do my own for $473!

Wow, that's an amazing price! My bouqet alone is $75!! Flowers are so expensive! My first florist quote was $7500...ran out of there and did not look back. The wedding industry is such a money maker!

that's amazing, sounds like you are getting some awesome stuff!! and super cute that your flowers are actually meaningful to you guys. We are just picking random flowers that happen to look pretty, I wish we had one that was meaningful like you guys!
