Bridal Shower Location

Hi,

I am a MOH from Scranton, and hosting a shower in Lancaster in August for around 25 guests.  I would like to find a venue that provides flatware, linens, etc, but that I could bring in my own food. If not, then a restaurant that can do a nice set up for around $25-30 per person (w/alcohol included).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest John Wright Restaurant in Columbia, PA (just outside of Lancaster) It has a beautiful view of the river. They provide all flatware and linens. They let you come early to set up your tables with any cute centerpieces you have. It's way cheaper than having it at a venue. Venues are going to cost you much more than $30/person especially staying in Lancaster.
You might want to check out where the bride is holding the wedding. Usually if you book the wedding at a venue, they offer a discounted rate for the rehearsal dinners or bridal showers.
I think a restaurant with an alcove is the best way to go for what you want and price friendly. Most resturants let you bring decorations if you let them know ahead of time.

OP, if you don't find a venue where you can bring in your own food, you could try Sugarplums and Tea. Its a tea room/restaurant and they have a banquet room that would fit your size party. Its just off Rt. 30 Greenfield Road exit. Its delicious!

Thanks for the suggestions.  

I'm starting to get nervous tho.  I heard back from one venue, they wanted $400 just for the space for three hours (no flatware, linens, nothing).  I was thinking a champagne brunch might be another way to go.  The Hilton in Scranton does that sort of thing, does anyone know of something like that in the Lancaster area?
