Vendor Reviews for Lancaster wedding!

Hi everyone!  I got married on July 16, and it was a wonderful day!!  Here are the vendors we used, I hope this helps those of you still early in the planning stages!

Ceremony: Faith United Church of Christ (A).  My FIL is the minister of the church, and even if he wasn't my FIL I'd still say it was a beautiful service.  The church has beautiful windows, a great organ, and FIL did a great job personalizing the ceremony.  I've seen him do a few ceremonies now and all of them are unique and perfect.

Reception: Lancaster Host Resort (A). We used the Vistas Windows room and it was beautiful! It was so nice seeing the sunset fill the room.  It was very hot when we first went in, but when it's July and half of the walls are all window, what can you expect? The food was FANTASTIC and Jenny, the coordinator, is amazing to work with.  She was pleasant, patient, and answered all of our questions, no matter how silly.

Flowers: Petals with Style (A).  We had so much fun planning with Stacia!  She has books upon books of flower ideas, which made it easier for me to see exactly what everything would look like.  She even attached a small penguin charm onto my bouquet at the last minute after I found the perfect one!

DJ: Provolve Entertainment (A).  My H has known Eric since high school, and I cannot recommend he and Mike enough!  I have never ever seen so many people on the dance floor!!!  They are professional yet personable and listened to all of our ideas during the planning meetings.  They are very accessible while planning and our guests had a fabulous time!

Cake: Bella Manse (A).  Our cake was AMAZING!!!!  Renee does an incredible job with decorating, and they taste incredible too!!!  She even made a grooms cake look exactly like a bowling alley for us!  I loved planning with her because she drew a sketch of what our cake would look like for us so we wouldn't have to try and imagine it all throughout the pre-wedding months.

Photographer: Haneman & Haneman Studios (A).  I loved working with John!  He does very classic shots but gets great candids, as well. Although he can be a little expensive, he was there before the ceremony and stayed for as long as we needed at the reception to make sure he got every shot we would want.  I cannot wait to see our album!!!

Dress: Classic Weddings (B).  My dress is beautiful and I'm happy that I was able to find it at a reasonably-priced place.  However, they measured me incorrectly so my gown was much longer than it was supposed to me, and when they hemmed it, the train became super narrow.  They also made a few comments about not only my weight, but also the weight of my MOHs.  Their seamstress did a fantastic job with the bustle.

Bridesmaids/Mothers: Alfred Angelo (C).  They were great when we went in to try dresses on and order them, but once they came in it became a mess!  They switched orders, had wrong sizes, mixed up colors, everything that could possibly go wrong, did.  And they still charged everyone for their mistakes!  They have a great selection and accommodated a range of sizes, which is good, but became a headache once everything came in.

Menswear: Mens Warehouse (B).  Great selection, and all of the guys looked really good.  There were a few that came in with the wrong sizes but they were all fixed very quickly.  My advice would be to tell the guys to get Dr Scholls for inside the tux shoes!
