Recommend Alterations Services

Can anyone recommend a business/someone who does great alterations in Cincinnati?  I was going to go with Pat's Alterations next to Bridal & Formal, but have heard a lot of bad reviews.  Preferably cheap, fast, friendly, great service!

tony king is one of the most expensive I've heard...so is Sallie Gregory. A lot of girls on here talked about Pauline..I didn't use her so I can't comment but I've heard she does good work and is inexpensive

If you are looking for inexpensive and friendly service, I wouldn't call Tony King, IMO. I had a meeting with him on my gown last summer and he was rude and very pricey. I ended up taking mine to Lorie Schur - Mt. Healthy area. She does wedding gowns out of her home and does a fabulous job...and she's very nice! She redesigned my dress from an A-line gown to a fit & flare and took it from a size 12 to a size 4! It looked amazing when she was finished!

Email me at econner42@hotmail.com if you would like her information - and if you'd like I can send before and after pics.

I second Pauline Miller, she did alterations on my dress and had them finished and perfect within about two weeks. She also offered to do our bridesmaids dresses in a rush, and finished the flower girls dresses in just about a week. She is located in Loveland, kind of out in the boonies, but she is very friendly and flexible.Definitely recommend her.

I recommend Rip N' Stitch a few blocks from Kenwood Towne Centre.

I third Pauline Miller.  I just had my first appointment with her last week.  She had really good ideas about improving the fit of my dress and went out of her way to make sure I was happy.  I also think her prices are very reasonable.  http://www.stitchesbypauline.com/

Tony King has a bad rap on these boards with some brides, but he was extremely nice to me and my family who were with me and his estimate was very very reasonable for everything he is doing.

I love Pauline. She's wonderful. I've used her for all my alterations - I'm pretty short so I need almost everything I buy hemmed - for 6 years. She is great and very reasonably priced. Good luck!

Based on reviews- both here, and previously- I also made an appointment with Pauline. She will be going on vacation between now and my wedding date, and with our tight schedules I worried it was a little to close...but, since I only need a bustle and some bra cups, she thinks she may actually be able to complete my alterations while I wait! How awesome is that!?

I will post my review after my fitting- I am confident she will do a great job.
