Catholic Churches

I want to get married in a Catholic Church but do not currently belong to one. Does anyone know of any Catholic Churches in Cincinnati that do not require membership?

Congratulations to getting married!  There are three Catholic churches that does not require you to be a parishioner to be married there:

    St. Francis Xavier Church
    St. Louis Church
    St. Peter in Chains Cathedral

Please call their offices six months prior to getting married so they can set-up some pre-marriage sessions such as pre-cana, FOCCUS, Couple-to-Couple League, and Engagement Encounter for you and your FI.

    Congrats!

A lot of Catholic Churches will let you  get married at their church even if you aren't a parishinor, but you'll probably have to pay more than what a Parishinor would pay. I know Holy Cross Immaculata lets you up in Mt. Adams and Old St. Mary's downtown Cincinnati.

    Good Luck

Holy Trinity in Norwood....but I think you have to find your own priest or deacon and parishoners get first priority.  I ended up becoming a member at a church near my home so I didn't have to go through the stress.  Thankfully my deacon let me hold the date before being a member for 6 months.  Good luck in your search and Congrats!    Smile

Most churches will marry non-parishoners if at least one of you is Catholic. You'll probably just have to pay more. You'll also have to meet with one of their priests and they might ask a bunch of personal questions, such as if you regularly attend mass.

We were married at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral downtown though we weren't members. Know that most churches that will allow you to marry if you aren't a member require you to provide your "own" priest if you aren't a member. We used Father Barry Windholtz who at the time was at St. Rose on Eastern Avenue. (I believe that he is still there, but I'm not sure.) He was FANTASTIC. If he is still there and still assists with non-parishioner weddings on the side, I highly recommend him. He was also very familiar with the Cathedral, which helped. Good luck!
