Wedding venues Near Worcester MA

Has anyone been or had a wedding at Old Sturbrdige Village? If so, how was it?
Also if anyone has any other ideas for reception venues in the Central Ma/Worcester area Please post!!! Thanks so much! Laughing

    I am having my wedding reception at the Chocksett Inn in Sterling, MA (20 min north of Worcester).  There are also several country clubs near Worcester.  I'm not sure what stlye reception you are going for.

    My best friend had her wedding at the Publick House in Sturbridge and it was WONDERFUL!  I highly recommend it!  They were very helpful and supportive, the food was wonderful, and their prices were good for what you get!!  I would absolutely check it out! :)

    If  interested in a July 15, 2011 evening wedding night at kirkbrae country club in lincoln R.I. is available.A Friday night is a lower price approx.$52 ppwith a wedding package and the south ballroom has a beautiful panoramic view, a balcony for the guest, the biggest dance floor in R.I and the beautiful grounds are blooming at this time of year.If interested or know of a family member ,friend, co-worker...ETC..Please contact KCC sales team.401-333-1300

    I've looked at both Harrington Farm and Zukas Hilltop Barn online and thought they were really great!  They were just either more than I wanted to spend, or required a larger minimum than I intend to have (50-60).  Though if you think I should still look at either one, someone let me know ;)

    The places on my "To Visit" list are:

    Hartmans Herb Farm - Barre
    Chocksett Inn - Sterling
    Salem Cross Inn - West Brookfield
    Spencer Country Inn (maybe, I've read iffy reviews) - Spencer
    Codman Estate - Lincoln
    Warren Conference Center & Inn - Ashland

    I had my wedding shower at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston.  It was very beautiful and the food was good too.  They do weddings as well.

    I am getting married at the Harding-Allen in Barre. Its beautiful and their food is amazing as well!

    I'm a photographer, and I've shot at OSV as well as most of the other venues mentioned here. OSV is lovely and the service is excellent. Issues - access to secured areas for photos can be limited and OSV staff will follow you around. Lots of lovely areas for shooting, though - be sure to figure in plenty of time for your photographs to take advantage of the grounds.
