ok so it's still in the very beginning of my planning, but i have a few reviews:
1. PRISCILLA OF BOSTON - B-
My BMs are all getting their dresses from Priscilla of Boston, and the dresses are beautiful. The store is also nationwide which is great because a lot of my girls are from out of town. Price is kind of high--$180 but since I have 10 total dress orders (8 BMs and 2 MOHs), they're getting 10% off. The reason I'm giving a B- is because the service is terrible. I feel like the people who work there are rude and treat me like I'm inconveniencing them when I ask them for help. Also their systems are unorganized--after I visited the salon and registered my wedding, I called a week later to check on something and they couldn't locate my wedding. Not cool. I think I'll go else where for my dress.
2. LINDSEY GOBUS (DOC) - A+
I heard about Lindsey through someone else's post on theknot, so I contacted her and met her to talk about DOC stuff. She's great and seems really organized and nice. She's also been emailing me a lot asking me if I have anything I need help with, so I feel like she's doing a lot more for me than just DOC stuff. Her prices are also really cheap. So far, so good.
3. The Westin Cincinnati (downtown) - A+
We've finally decided that we will be having our wedding at the Westin. We wanted an indoor wedding so we don't need to worry about rain, and also we want the ceremony and reception to be in the same spot so we don't have to pay for transportation. The Westin's ballrooms are really pretty and they go with the color palette I want. Also the staff has been really great there and they have been flexible with pricing. We're considering doing the wedding on a Friday or a Sunday to keep the costs as low as possible. We also get a free suite the night of the wedding!
