Wedding Planner in Sarasota

My sister is getting married in Sarasota in May.  We live in Chicago.  Looking for a good planner to help us with the details.

There's only one as far as I'm concerned - Julie with Chic n Fabulous!  She has been recommended on here by so many brides and she's my wedding planner.
 
She's worked well within my budget and has come up with some incredible ideas.  She has a team of preferred vendors that I've used and they're all fantastic as well.   She's based out of Tampa, but I know she's done weddings in Sarasota.

Check out her blog - unbelievable!  The only problem with her is that she books up fast.

What do wedding planners charge for their services? Is there a flat rate? I'm new to all this wedding planning and feel like I'm all over the place, but not sure if I would be able to have a planner in the budget. What would I need to budget for that?

Hands down- Monica from Elan Event Studio. She is my planner and I know she works on SRQ alot, its where I was first looking but decided on St Pete for my wedding. She is very detailed, very organized and provide great insight and vendor recommendations.

I think it all depends on the level of service you want.  If you want them from STDs through the wedding reception, it is going to be more expensive than just day of.

My wedding planner includes extra services with day of.  Call a few planners and ask them specific questions.

I got married in Sarasota at Selby Gardens and used Kala from Milan Catering.  Now they have their own design center and focus on wedding planning as well.  I can't say enough good things about MIlan Catering and the service i received.  The food was amazing.
