Wedding Activities

Hi all..
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as some fun activities for my wedding guest prior to the wedding... We are traveling from NJ and some will be staying on St. Pete Beach for the entire week prior. So, I want to make sure no one gets bored... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

(I would like some free, or sightseeing, daily activities)

Thanks
Susie

What hotel are you staying at?  My hotel, The Tradewinds, and their concierge will be organizing optional excursions during the day.  We are also renting a sailing yacht at Dolphin Landings in St. Pete Beach.  You don't have to rent the entire yacht to yourselves like us, but they have group outings like sunset dolphin cruises.  GL!

    Depends on ages and interests.

Mazzaros Italian market is really neat, downtown St. Pete area. Makes a pretty good lunch. They have wine tastings, live music, and great coffee.  http://www.mazzarosmarket.com

The Saturday morning farmer's market is a lot of fun, live music, great food, local artisans. Free to get in, and everyone who provides food at least has free samples. It is up and running through the cooler months, so defiantly in November, it starts at 9am and runs til 2. http://www.saturdaymorningmarket.com

St. Pete houses the largest Salvador Dali collection in the world. Not free, but well worth the entrance fee.  http://www.salvadordalimuseum.org/

Downtown St. Pete has a pier, it's sort of tourist and cheesy, but the view from the top is really pretty, you can see the whole bay area. There is a bar up there, so we'll sometimes head up and have a couple drinks and watch the sunset.

The Sunken Garden isn't free, but has some of the oldest gardens in the area. It's beautiful. It was actually my first choice for wedding venue, but was more than we wanted to spend. http://www.stpete.org/sunken/index.asp

If people want to head into Tampa, there is also Busch Gardens, Lowery Park Zoo, the aquarium, and Ybor City, to name a few.
