disappointment..

When FI and I decided on our venue, the coordniator there we were assigned was a HUGE reason we went with them... We LOVED the Rusty Pelican but I loved Janida alot as well. We got along great and she was such a nice person... Well, here comes the disappointment.. I received a letter from RP a few days ago.. It states that Janida resigned due to difficult family matters. It also said we'd been assigned a new coordinator by the name of Sarah..

Bummer. I guess I'll be going in to meet with her soon.. I just hope she's a nice person *crosses fingers*

I bet you'll like her just as much. Keep in mind that she just started this job so she is going to want to make you very happy, it makes her look good.

I had the same problem as well but we never got a letter in the mail. When we went to the Rusty Pelican we loved the venue the only problem we had was that they had Don do our wedding. So I had to talk to them and they reassigned us to Sharon and within the week we were reassigned to Janida whom I absolutely loved! Then I called to se if they received our check and they told us that she had resigned and that Don was in charge of our wedding and I flipped out on them b/c that was our only request. So they placed us with Sharon again. I hope that we are not moved to another person again b/c we like Sharon! I hope everything is ok with Janida! We'll miss her as well. If you have any problems with the new person you should ask for Sharon she is really sweet and has been doing this for yrs.

I had a similar situation with my venue (Hunter's Green CC). We were originally given to Jill (the one and only event coordinator at Hunter's Green) & we loved her, she was amazing & there was no doubt that she would make our wedding day beautiful. A couple weeks went by and I hadn't heard from her & it was time to confirm that date & time for our tasting so I called. The receptionist answered the phone & I asked to speak with Jill and she responds..."uh...Jill doesn't work here anymore" I immediately freak out & start to panic. I was so angry that I wasn't called and made aware of the situation. Since then we have gotten a new coordinator & she's nice & I think she'll do a good job but I'm definitely not as comfortable with her as I had hoped to be. I keep telling myself that we never planned on having a coordinator (just the venue we elected provided one at no additional fee) so she is just a bonus! I'm sure everything will turn out fine but I'm still going to be nervous until the wedding day!!!
