Bachelorette Party?

So my bridesmaids are from all over the county - one in California, two in Texas, one in Virgina and one in New Zealand.  I have major reservations about lots of things related to them spending lots of money for this event.  My sister the MOH wants to get planning a B-party.  I'm not crazy to have one for many reasons.  One, I'm low key.  I don't want to go get hammered at a bar.  Two, my b-maids are all over the place and I don't want them to have to travel somewhere for the party.I emailed my sister and told her my thoughts and said I can just have a little get together with my friends when I see them at random times.  Like going to Vegas next month with one b-maid and some house party guests and we'll celebrate and then I can go to Texas and party it up there one night and my friend in CA we can get together for a concert sometime before, and then my friend in NZ... well I just can't wait for her to come to my wedding and be in it.  Just had to vent and share.  Are yall having a bachelorett party and thoughts on what to do in this situation?

Why not have the B-party when they get in town for the wedding? You def. don't have to get trashed at a bar either, you could do a spa day, dinner, a fun class together (like pole dancing LOL), or you could just do a slumber party type night of movies, food, and gossip!

Since all my BMs will have to fly down to florida for the wedding, i'm also trying to keep their spending to a minimum.  I think we're just going to do a girls wine weekend up in michigan (which is something we do a lot anyway) and just label it my bach party.  I'm really over the bar scene too, so I definitely don't want a traditional bach party.I was also thinking about just scrapping the idea alltogether and just having all the girls come to my room the night before the wedding and watch girlie movies and do manis/pedis or something.  Cheap and fun :)

I plan on having my close girlfriends stay over with me the night before the wedding! So I think that's a great idea! :)

I am in the same situation as you... my MOH is "planning" the event too - I am so in the dark on whats going on with that.  Anyway, we both decided to make it the weekend they came into town (i.e. Thurs night).  Since your girls are flying in that night I definitely think a Sex in the City-esque slumber party in definitely in order.  Everyone dress really super girly, watch movies, and drink wine and eat strawberries or something!  I think my girls and I are going to do something like that on Friday.
