I think your originaly contract should state what you owe them. I could be wrong but I do not believe that they actually send you an invoice.

Vendors don't norm contact you from what i remember from my own wedding unless you are past due and coming up on your wedding day. That's why most state in your contract what you owe and when you owe it by.

Usually not. My DH set up a calender for us with the due dates and amounts on it so we would not forget.

Not usually. We set reminders in Outlook and on our iPhones so we remember when vendor payments are due.

I guess mine are different. My photographer e-mailed me to see if we wanted to pay the balance off a month before and get a print credit or wait until the 2 weeks before the wedding. We also had a credit card on file with the florist and she e-mailed me the day before the payment was to come out. We just have to remember to pay the DJ the day of, but he probably won't let us forget!!

The two vendors I have booked so far have given me reciepts. My photographer has given me the option to pay the final payment before hand or make payments up until my date. My florist isn't so flexible but she's been pretty nice! Go with someone who is flexible! Congrats!

I just got an invoice via email from my caterer (Amici's) and I think all the rest of the money for me isn't due until 2 weeks before, but thanks for the heads up... I need to look into this. I would think that when you have money due, they'd be sure to remind you, especially with the economy the way it is, but who knows. GL!!
