How much time is customary to allow people to RSVP? Say I send out the invites on Monday - what should the rsvp by ___ date be? (wedding is mid-sept) Thanks!

    I think the date is supposed to be 1 month before the wedding. My wedding is 9/26/09, so my response cards say to respond by 8/26/09.

    Our wedding is 10/10/09 and we requested a response by 9/19/09, so around a month.

    Our wedding is Sept 12 and the RSVp has to be in by Aug 17 about a month.

    I think it's a good idea to request them 4 weeks before your wedding date.  That way it gives you time to track down the ones that didn't respond and put together final numbers for your vendors.  And if you're doing seat charts or whatever, it will give you ample time to create that.

    Our wedding is Sept. 26, and I requested RSVP's back by Aug. 31. I used the last day of Aug. so that people were more likely to remember it. That was the thought at least!!!

    Ours is 30 days. Thank the Lord I did that because mine are due back Aug 11th and we have received 20 out of 110 back thus far. I will have a lot of calling to do.
