Sanibel/Captiva beach locations

Just starting planning and wondering if anyone knows of a great beach location in Sanibel.  My ideal location would be one that would allow my small group to walk somewhere to a great restaurant for dinner after.

    How many in your group? I would check out Captiva Island Inn http://captivaislandinn.com. It's located a very short walk to the beach and multiple good restaurants including RC Otters, Key Lime Bistro, the Bubble Room, the Mucky Duck and the Green Flash. Mucky Duck and Green Flash are on the water. Some nice resorts with restaurants to check out include Casa Ybel, South Seas, Tween Waters and Sundial. There is a restaurant on Sanibel called Ellingtons (formerly Dolce Vita) which also does groups, but I'm not sure if it's close enough to walk from the beach. Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions- I have been to all these places.

    Check out the sand bar restaurant and the sister restaurant. They are both really pretty.

    Thanks!  We were there in April and now that I see all of those restaurants it brings back some memories of what was where.  Trying to keep it pretty low key.  The number in our group is completely dependent on how many choose to go.  We are inviting our close friends and family and then coming home and having a reception later in the spring. There is just soooo much info out there that it can become overwhelming very fast!

    I am getting married at Chapel by the Sea on Captiva but if you are looking to get married on the beach I would have to say that Captiva Island would be a great location for it as it is very close in proximity to several restaurants. I recommend Pat Slater, she is a wedding planner. Check out her website for more information, google Pat Slater. I clicked on it and was able to find a ton of helpful information. I am not dealing with her directly but she still answered all of my questions with a good attitude.:) Hope this helps.
