Checks! (And a question!)

Hi Ladies!

We bought our wedding rings yesterday! I am so freaking excited it's not even funny. FI and I got them from Zales after going to a few other stores. I have to say- Zales had the nicest staff, I didn't feel pressured, and I am SO happy with what we got for our money! I have a solitaire e-ring, so I really wanted a band with channel set diamonds in it. That's exactly what I got! It looks fantastic with my e-ring even though they aren't a matched set or anything, so I am thrilled. FI just got a plain white gold band.  Haha, I just had to squee about it. Can't wait to wear my ring!

Now, for my question. We will be getting married at Grand Plaza Hotel. I need an officiant, and also a dj. Any recs for me? I have NO IDEA who to use to perform the actual ceremony, so any input would be excellent. I believe that I read here that some people use Rob Sword for everything? Can he perform the actual ceremony? This is beginning to stress me and FI wants me to get it taken care of soon!

Also, if Rob Sword can perform the ceremony, would anyone who has used him mind telling me how much he charged you for that and the ceremony and uplighting? I would so so so love some uplighting, but I don't know that I will be able to afford it.

Hi -

Yes, Rob Sword CAN officiate.  We looked into it initally, but then we decided on a family friend to officiate.  You'll definitely want to contact him to get pricing, as there are some dependent factors.  However, to me, his proposal for us for DJ and officiating was reasonable.

Yay for your checks!  rings are a big thing! 

I don't know much about Rob Sword (not using him) but I can tell you many girls on here rave about him and have used or are using him!

I booked Rob for both DJ and officiating and it was a great deal but he is traveling to our site so I think it all really depends. I spoke to him the other day about adding  uplighting as well. Basically he said that if you are booking multiple services  he usually  gives you a better deal on each individual thing. He has been great to work with and I would highly recommend contacting him for a specific price quote based on your event.
