Flower pricing help!

Got my first quote for flowers today. What did you pay for your bouquets? I was quoted $150 for a rose bouqet and $50 for tulip bridesmaids bouquets...good price? Average? Thoughts?

Yea flower prices can be pretty daunting. When I first talked to Fish Hawk weddings I didn't really know what to budget for flowers so I asked them what their average cost for a wedding was. She said "oh we start around $2000-$3000". For something that'll be dead the next day?

Try other florists and get more quotes to see if that's a fair price.

That sounds about average. Talk to Scott at Apple Blossoms. He worked around my budget - I went a little higher than originally thought but that was due to my choice of flowers so he gave me some options to keep the look I wanted with a lower price.

My bouquet will be $145 with white roses, stephanotis, freesia, lisianthus, and hydrangea. Bridesmaids are $40 each with shades of purple carnations and mini-carnations, one lavendar rose and some green ruscus. However my MOH will be $60 because hers will be a bit bigger with multiple lavendar roses and small white flowers added. I wanted hers to stand out a little more.
