Fort Myers/Naples Weddings

Hi All! I am new to posting but i figured if anyone can help or give advice it would be the brides planning like me!

I am wanting to see if anyone has suggestions about a venue for reception/ceremony.
I have looked at the Burrough Home in Ft Myers and LOVED IT. However i am not a fan of the outside reception. I looked into the Harbour Side Event Center but they are not emailing me back or answering the phone. Has anyone used them? if so what do you think.

Does anyone have any other idea for a location? I am trying to stay around $65 pp for an evening wedding with open bar or limited open bar.

Thanks in advance!!!
-Amy

If a location or a vendor isn't responding in a timely manner while you are trying to get some information from them, I would have reservations about using them.

I have not heard or contacted either of these locations.

ANy and ALL country clubs in the ft. myers/naples area are usually the most reasonable.  I went to a brunch wedding/reception at Kensington CC this weekend and it was really beautiful.  Most CC don't require you to be a member and they are all inclusive packages.  There are a few varied themes on the look of the CC as well so there are lots of options.

I looked at the following and liked them a lot, plus got responses out of all of them

    Windstar CC
Marbella Lakes (in Estero...its SUPER nice and very good prices)
    Olde Cypress

I have heard good things about The Quarry and the Edison home too.  HTH!

Yes!  I love the Edison/Ford Winter Estates, and they host beautiful weddings:

    Hi,
Sorry for the late post. I have been to a wedding at Harborside, and it was nice, but the service was not that great. But their prices are definitely  more reasonable. I agree with you about the Burrough's home. It is lovely and on the water, but outside only events in FL are tricky.
I second the idea of checking out country clubs like Fiddlesticks, Lexington, Legends, etc. Also the Dunes on Sanibel. Country clubs are usually much more budget friendly.
The Royal Palm Yacht club is on the water right near the Edison/Ford Estates. The ballroom is really beautiful with amazing water views.
The Verandah restaurant in downtown fort myers is also very beautiful.
The Heitman House is in downtown Fort Myers, and is along the same lines as other historic homes.
Another resort to check out is the Pink Shell on Fort Myers Beach which is somewhat more reasonable than other resorts and their ballroom overlooks the water.
If you are willing to consider having a lunch time event, that is generally a big budget saver and may allow you to look at more venues.
    Good luck!!!

You can also try the Resort at Marina Village in Cape Coral :) They are new, and may be more willing to work in your budget. I was shocked by how nice is.

Do you know where there are some pictures of their room?  They don't have any posted.
