    Kind of a funny story.

We were talking about it, but he was dead set on making it a surprise.  So when we walked through the mall he would grab flyers for me and we would look at them together.  I wrote all over one of them.  Circled the types of rings I liked, X'd the ones I didn't.  Put little smiley faces and Ohhh's next to the ones I really liked.

He ended up taking the flyer to Jared's and showing them.  They went through and helped him pick out the perfect ring (after they laughed about the X's and Ohhhs).  So it was a surprise, but it was still perfect for me. :)   (I'm at work, so no pic)

I helped pick it out. My dad gave us the middle stone, which was my grandma's.

FI and I were goofing off at the mall one day and got sized and just looked at rings. I had been engaged once before and nearly a 2nd time (big big deployment no no) lol...but both styles had been 3 stone rings. I never considered a single stone thinking my long piano looking fingers would look stupid. He picked a cushion cut diamond out and as funny as it is his first name MEANS cushion. He proposed a few weeks later. He also scored a pretty sweet deal on it.
