Wedding Planner

I need more suggestions!  I am planning on a March 2011 wedding.  I am looking for a wedding planner.  I don't have a large budget (max $10,000-even less is better)  I would love a wedding planner being that I am a first year teacher and do not have much extra time.  If anyone has suggestions for planner tey know or have used previously that they would reccommend that would be great!  Any advice is appreciated.  I will also be looking for a caterer.  So recommendations for that is appreciated too!  Thank!

Where are you getting married? Many locations have an on-site coordinator that would not require a coordinator.

Check Julie at Chic Designs & Fabulous Events.  She's a former Knottie and totally "gets it."  She has an amazing eye for detail.  I've heard she works with all budgets.

Although many venues have an onsite coordinator, they normally oversee their own staff, not outside vendors.

I don't know if you choose a wedding planner yet, but I went with Burkle Events. Jennifer is the planner and she is AWESOME! Words don't even explain everything that she did for me, even though I hired her for day-of only. She charges half of what everyone else charges and is absolutely wonderful! She's under West Florida local vendors for wedding coordinators on theknot, so I definitely recommend her.

I was so thrilled with everything she did for me before the wedding, and on the day of. She was the best and I definetly would go with her if you haven't chosen anyone yet.

There's a boutique bridal show on Saturday (10/23) in Holiday, Florida that will have some great wedding planners and other vendors.  I know one of the florists will be Jenny's Flowers which is who I used and I was very happy with and Bella Events will be there too.

Jamie Morton with Swank Shindigs.  She used to be a wedding planner at Disney.  I love her and she is affordable.

I HAVE to second Julie at Chic Designs & Fabulous Events.  I am planning a Tampa wedding from Los Angeles and she has made every step so easy!  Her showroom is BEAUTIFUL.  My fiance makes jokes that I love Julie more than I love him! haha

Thanks for all the advice.  I have contacted Julie from Chic Designs and Fabulous Events.  I meet with her tomorrow.  I have also spoken with Flawless Occasions.  Anyone have any experience with them?  Their prices seem reasonable.

    Great wedding planners:  www.zoegallinainc.com, www.sandyruleevents.com, www.cindystonehouseevents.com  www.luciapauldesign.com

All would be great choices as well.  We booked Puff n Stuff Catering. They have a kitchen here now and the girl that does their off premise catering ROCKS, she gets back to you day and night but you have to ask when you call Orlando so they dont transfer you to another planner. I had a problem with my venue and she called every person she new and found one,way above and beyond. Tasting was AMAZING!
