Tarpon Lodge

Hi ladies!

I'm planning my February 2013 wedding long distance, so my parents, who live in Southwest Florida, are making vendor visits for me. They recently checked out Tarpon Lodge as a possible venue. They loved it, but I want to get the opinion of any brides who have had their wedding their or gone to a wedding there. 

The photos online look gorgeous, but I'm kind of disappointed there is no beach on site. Any experiences out there with Tarpon Lodge on Pine Island?

I have never been to a wedding at Tarpon Lodge, but have been out there many times for other things. There is no beach but it's right on the water. It is very nice with a very "old Florida" type of feel. The food is good out there.  Sort of quaint, slower way of life, very Pine Island if you've ever been  Very elegant.    Happy planning!

From what I remember, you have to have the dance floor in a seperate bar area because of the way it's set up, and I thought it was really expensive.  But it is gorgeous!  I wanted an old Florida feel, and I wound up going with Tampa Bay Watch.
