where to honeymoon

I can't figure out where to go on our honeymoon. We live in Naples, Fl and we want to go somewhere within 10 hours driving distance (don't want to fly). The idea of an all-inclusive resort sounds great but i can only find one that is in sandpiper bay and I was looking for other suggestions. We are undecided about the Keys and we definatly dont want to go to Disney World. My budget is no more than $1500...

How about St. Augustine? They are supposed to have some nice bed and breakfasts over there.

What makes you want to go to a resort? Have you considered a crusie. There is so much to do and so many places you can go and stay well under $1500

I second the cruise as all your food will be included. Just remember to leave some for alcohol, any excursions you might want to take and souvenirs.

Savannah and St. Augustine are two of the most romantic cities in the world - could check them out. 

Here's what we did:
Got married in Clearwater and then drove out to the Tradewinds for the wedding night.  Then drove to Sarasota for a 4-day mini-moon before heading out to San Diego.

I know that Sarasota is pretty close to you, but it is a honeymoon destination for many people and could be very special for you too...

I wasn't impressed with Key West, but I heard the other Keys are better. Plus what a great drive (I want drive to go through the Everglades).

I also agree with the cruise suggestion. There are lots of great deals out there right now! For the keys check out Casa Marina in Key West and Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada. For another destination check out Amelia Island which is just north of Jacksonville and is really really  beautiful. Have fun!
