Wedding cake disaster!

I was talking to my friends about wedding planning of course and the subject of wedding cakes came up.

One of them said she'd heard about a cake that literally fell apart in front of the bride at the new Hyatt Clearwater Beach.  She didn't know who made the cake, but I want to stay away from them.  Do you think the Hyatt would tell me who it is?

The Hyatt uses Chantilly Cakes - we are getting married there and using them. However, you are allowed to purchase a cake from another source if you choose not to go through them (and Hyatt will adjust your rate). It may have been another vendor. Jennifer, the coordinator at Hyatt, is very particular about who she uses for all of her vendors, and has removed and excluded people for accidents like this and has talked extremely highly of Chantilly. Chantilly is a very reputable bakery in the area and we were very impressed with them - I also made sure to do research beforehand since I've been very particular about who I choose for all my vendors. Accidents can happen anywhere, though - a friend of mine got married at the Sandpearl in Clearwater and her vendor brought her the wrong cake. You just have to make sure you look up reviews and do your research with any vendor you go with. Good luck!
