Need ideas for Remembering DF Dad

My DF's father passed away when he was 13. I never got a chance to meet him and wish I would have got the chance to. I would like to remember his Father, Aunt, my Grandmother and the man who was like Jason's Father. I was thinking about putting a individual photo in a frame and write something nice.Would I put this on the sign in table, gift table, cake table? Any other thoughts or ideas are appreciated!

My friend's dad dies almost a year before she got married and she had a picture of him with a lit candle near the alter. You could probably movie it to the sign in table for the reception. That way everyone would think of them when they sign in.

I've also seen a chair left open, with a picture or something else to let everyone know it's meaning. Maybe a vase for each filled with different flowers with a nice quote or phrase that reminds you of the person, or a little placard sitting in front of it that just says in honor or remembrance of? You could do the same thing with a candle in nice holder. There are lots of possibilities that would be nice but also fit in with the feel of your wedding. HTH!
